Dear members,

We would like to thank all our members for making the Nepalese Cultural Evening 2009 successful. It is the combined effort of all our members that made it happen. We would like to thank the organizing committee for organizing such a wonderful event. Our special thanks goes to all the members of organizing committee and the sub-committees (Cultural Items preparation committee, Food management committee, Technical committee, Ticketing committee, Exhibition, Hall management and Transportation committee).

Our Members

Nepalese Cultural Evening 2009

Dear members,

The meeting held with all our members last Sunday had decided to organize Nepalese Cultural Evening along with food festival and exhibition in the 28th of March, 2009. The program will comprises of cultural dances, songs, documentary showing life in Nepal, exhibition of Nepalese culture, art, architecture, landscapes followed by dinner with Nepalese Food.
To make the event more entertaining and successful, the meeting had also decided to form an organizing committee with sub-committees to handle the different tasks.

Program Highlights:

1. Nepal Exhibition: Architecture, Sculpture, lifestyles, Photographs, Landscape, major animals, Art and musical instruments
2. Food Festival: Taste of food items (Complete set of Nepali Dinner) for around 200 individuals
3. Cultural Evening: Nepalese dances and songs (based on different regions and festivals), Documentary about Nepal and others.

Flood victim support

It is known to all our members that we have collected donations from you people as a support to flood victims in eastern region of Nepal caused by Koshi river. We have already established a channel via red cross here in Trondheim and transferred the collected money to red cross in Nepal.They are providing us the detail progress of money transfer. We will keep you updating when we received more information about this.
